Today the UK’s leading independent research institute, NatCen Social Research, has launched a new website and data analysis tool that will provide access to all the most up to date public opinion data on the EU Referendum in one place: www.www.whatukthinks.org/eu.
The objective of What UK Thinks: EU is to provide impartial evidence on public opinion in the run up to the referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU. Use of the site is free and it gives access to:
- UK polling data dating back to 2010, with interactive tools allowing users to find poll and survey results by topic and explore or compare results over time by different polling companies
- Regular commentary, blogs and briefing papers from NatCen Senior Research Fellow, Professor John Curtice, and a series of guest experts analysing public opinion polls and attitudes to EU membership
- Data from key questions from cross-national EU surveys, providing evidence from when the same questions are asked across other member states so that direct comparisons can be made
- An on-going ‘Poll of Polls‘ featuring all questions that ask the remain/leave question as it will appear on the ballot paper
- Regular updates will be provided on Twitter via: @whatukthinks
The project is funded by a fellowship awarded to Professor John Curtice, Senior Research Fellow at NatCen Social Research, by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) as part of its new research initiative The UK in a Changing Europe.
