Under the Fixed Term Parliaments Act, the next UK general election is scheduled for May 2020. Some people argue that once the Government has laid out its terms for Brexit, the public should be granted a general election to see if the Government would
be re-elected under these terms and therefore give them a mandate to proceed with them. Others argue that the Fixed Term Parliament Act should be respected and that regardless of the Government’s terms for Brexit, we should not have an early general
