The British government is meant to be taking part in negotiations with the European Union as part of the process for Britain leaving the EU, but the COVID-19 outbreak has meant these negotiations have had to be delayed. The transition period is set to come to an end on 31st December this year, regardless of whether or not any settlement has been reached in the negotiations.
