In March 2020 the European Union announced a joint programme to purchase medical supplies such as protective equipment for healthcare workers. As we are still in the transition period after leaving the EU, the UK was eligible to take part but chose not to. In hindsight, do you believe the government should or should not have opted to take part in this programme?
