Imagine that there was a possibility for British citizens to obtain the right to retain European Union citizenship after Brexit, including full rights to live, work, study, and travel anywhere in the EU, vote in local elections anywhere you choose to live, and health protection throughout the EU. If such a scheme were readily available, would you consider retaining EU citizenship in addition to your British citizenship?

The British Government wishes to guarantee the rights of EU citizens in the UK, but only if they have lived in the country for at least 5 years, just like immigrants from anywhere else in the world.
